Allstate Insurance Co.’s drone imaging program will receive an Impact Award from the Novarica Insurance Technology Research Council—a peer community of hundreds of insurer chief information officers (CIOs).
Allstate partnered with a drone image and data capture provider to improve and streamline property claims, resulting in cycle time improvements of 30 to 40 percent and a 50 to 60 percent increase in adjuster productivity. The proof-of-concept project was deployed in six months and tested in four states.
“Aerial imagery is innovative technology that can improve the speed and efficiency of our property inspection process and help us deliver a faster, more modernized claim experience for our customers,” said Bonnie Lee, vice president of property claims at Allstate.
Allstate’s case study—as well as case studies of seven other winners and more than 20 additional cases considered for Impact Awards—was published in Novarica’s 7th Annual Best Practices Case Study Compendium. The organization has published more than 200 case studies through the program since 2012.
“Allstate’s initiative was selected by our council members for its effective usage of emerging technology to drive concrete business results and improve customer experience,” said Matthew Josefowicz, Novarica president and CEO.
The Novarica Research Council Impact Awards are the largest purely peer-juried awards in insurance technology. Council members vote annually to recognize the efforts of their peers to use technology to drive business value in digital, data, analytics, core systems and IT operations.
